Andrea Martinez-Martinez

Bioinformatics Research Assistant

I am a bioinformatics research assistant helping to carry out analyses to support the team’s research on cancer driver genes.

I studied Biotechnology at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain and later did my Master’s degree in Bioinformatics at the University of Edinburgh. Before joining Serena’s team my work focused mainly on nematode genome analysis in the context of evolutionary biology.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, cooking and spending time in nature.
